A definitive list of Trump’s lies!

A definitive list of Trump’s lies!

JAN. 21 “I wasn’t a fan of Iraq. I didn’t want to go into Iraq.” (He was for an invasion before he was against it.)

JAN. 21 “A reporter for Time magazine — and I have been on their cover 14 or 15 times. I think we have the all-time record in the history of Time magazine.” (Trump was on the cover 11 times and Nixon appeared 55 times.)

JAN. 23 “Between 3 million and 5 million illegal votes caused me to lose the popular vote.” (There’s no evidence of illegal voting.)

JAN. 25 “Now, the audience was the biggest ever. But this crowd was massive. Look how far back it goes. This crowd was massive.” (Official aerial photos show Obama’s 2009 inauguration was much more heavily attended.)

JAN. 25 “Take a look at the Pew reports (which show voter fraud.)” (The report never mentioned voter fraud.)

JAN. 25 “You had millions of people that now aren’t insured anymore.” (The real number is less than 1 million, according to the Urban Institute.)

JAN. 25 “So, look, when President Obama was there two weeks ago making a speech, very nice speech. Two people were shot and killed during his speech. You can’t have that.” (There were no gun homicide victims in Chicago that day.)

And the lies continue, they go on and on and on.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s directed involvement in a cyber campaign to disrupt and discredit the U.S. presidential race.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s direct involvement in a cyber campaign to disrupt and discredit the U.S. presidential race.

Inside was an intelligence bombshell, a report drawn from sourcing deep inside the Russian government that detailed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s direct involvement in a cyber campaign to disrupt and discredit the U.S. presidential race.

But it went further. The intelligence captured Putin’s specific instructions on the operation’s audacious objectives — defeat or at least damage the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, and help elect her opponent, Donald Trump.  More from the Washington Post here.

President Obamas statement on the GOP’s senate health care bill.

President Obama’s statement on the GOP’s senate health care bill:

“The Senate bill, unveiled today, is not a health care bill. It’s a massive transfer of wealth from middle-class and poor families to the richest people in America. It hands enormous tax cuts to the rich and to the drug and insurance industries, paid for by cutting health care for everybody else. Those with private insurance will experience higher premiums and higher deductibles, with lower tax credits to help working families cover the costs, even as their plans might no longer cover pregnancy, mental health care, or expensive prescriptions. Discrimination based on pre-existing conditions could become the norm again. Millions of families will lose coverage entirely.

Simply put, if there’s a chance you might get sick, get old, or start a family – this bill will do you harm. And small tweaks over the course of the next couple weeks, under the guise of making these bills easier to stomach, cannot change the fundamental meanness at the core of this legislation.I hope our Senators ask themselves – what will happen to the Americans grappling with opioid addiction who suddenly lose their coverage? What will happen to pregnant mothers, children with disabilities, poor adults and seniors who need long-term care once they can no longer count on Medicaid? What will happen if you have a medical emergency when insurance companies are once again allowed to exclude the benefits you need, send you unlimited bills, or set unaffordable deductibles? What impossible choices will working parents be forced to make if their child’s cancer treatment costs them more than their life savings?

To put the American people through that pain – while giving billionaires and corporations a massive tax cut in return – that’s tough to fathom. But it’s what’s at stake right now. So it remains my fervent hope that we step back and try to deliver on what the American people need.”

“With all of the recently reported electronic surveillance, intercepts, unmasking and illegal leaking of information, I have no idea whether there are ‘tapes’ or recordings of my conversations with James Comey, but I did not make, and do not have, any such recordings,”

Trump stated in a pair of tweets on Thursday afternoon.

President Donald Trump on Thursday said he did not make and does not have any “tapes” or recordings of his conversations with former FBI Director James Comey, ending a nearly six-week saga he kicked off by suggesting in a tweet that such tapes existed.  More from Politico here.

Only 16% of Americans believe in the AHCA as Senate tries to shove through a massive tax cut for wealthy while lying to public, calling it affordable health care!

Only 16% of Americans believe in the AHCA as Senate tries to shove through a massive tax cut for wealthy while lying to public, calling it affordable health care!

Americans overwhelmingly disapprove of the House plan to repeal and replace Obamacare, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

This new poll comes as Senate Republicans unveil their own health care legislation on Thursday. While the Senate bill shares some similarities to the House version, it also contains differences.

By a 3-to-1 margin, the American public holds a negative view of the American Health Care Act, legislation that House Republicans passed last month and that President Donald Trump supports.
Just 16 percent of adults believe that House health care bill is a good idea, versus 48 percent who say it’s a bad idea.  More from NBC News here.

Samantha Bee raises about $200,000 at Not the White House Dinner while roasting Trump, celebrating freedom of speech!

Once everyone filed in for the show, the mood was electric. Diners sat at round tables in front of the stage, while the majority of Bee’s audience sat above them, in stadium-style seats that wrapped around the pit. T-shirts were handed out each time Bee and her crew set up for the next segment, while “Great Moments for the Press and the Presidency” flashed on the monitors. At the end of the afternoon, Bee thanked her audience—”You were all unbelievable! I don’t think I’ve ever had more fun performing ever than I did tonight”—and noted that ticket sales for the event had raised roughly $200,000 for the Committee to Protect Journalists. Trump’s new executive order on drug pricing breaks promises to Americans, supports Big Pharma instead.

Trump’s new executive order on drug pricing breaks promises to Americans, supports Big Pharma instead.

The New York Times reports that the Trump White House is about to put out an executive order on drug pricing, and it looks as if the whole thing were basically written by big pharma.

In other words, America, we’ve just been sold out on the price of drugs.
This toothless order is the result of asking some of the richest CEOs in America what to do about a problem they don’t want to solve. And it settles something about the Trump administration. If you were hoping that the populist Trump from the campaign trail would keep some of the promises he made to his base, you can stop now.  More from Business Insider here.
