President-Elect Trump Breaks With Long History Of Press Conferences, Continues to Avoid Press Days Prior to January Inauguration

Dec. 15 was to be the day Trump would hold his first press conference since winning the election. It was supposed to be about how he would address his potential business conflicts of interest as president. It isn’t happening — postponed, his team says, until January.

As of January 1, 2017 president-elect Trump still has not held a formal press conference. What does this portend for the American public in an environment which insists on a transparent administration?
