The New York Times has given the story more coverage here, stating president Trump has repeated the lie about the popular vote.

A petition is now circulating Donald Trump, release your “secret evidence” proving 5m people voted illegally to compel the president to turn over evidence to back up his claim that “illegals” voted in the election causing him to lose the popular vote by nearly 3 million to Hillary Clinton.

The President has provided no evidence to back up his claim, and multiple fact checks and investigations have called the assertion false.  Trump is overly fixated on his loss of the popular vote, his crowd sizes, and seems more concerned about his popularity than getting down to business.  How will his narcissism affect his ability to unite the country if he’s overly concerned with his own popularity?
