Federal agencies are clamping down on public information and social media in the early days of Donald Trump’s presidency, limiting employees’ ability to issue news releases, tweet or otherwise communicate with the outside world, according to memos and sources from multiple agencies. Three tweets were removed from the Badlands National Park account shortly after being posted. On Saturday the National Park Service tweeted about Trump’s inauguration crowd size and was ordered to shut down its Twitter account. It wasn’t until the tweet was removed before the Twitter account was re-established. Some would suggest this move by the Trump administration is a way of putting a gag order on several federal agencies and controlling information going out to the public. What do you think is going on?
