House Freedom Caucus are the extreme right wing of GOP who wanted to make the AHCA health care bill even worse!

The House Freedom Caucus is “so secretive that it will not disclose the names of its members.”  In the current (115th) Congress, the group has about three dozen members. A number of members have identified themselves, or have been identified by others, as members of the Freedom Caucus, as of March 2017 including:

The unpublicized pledge sowed the seeds of Friday’s collapse of the Republican Party’s seven-year campaign to replace Obamacare with its own vision of health care reform. While Trump and leadership were able to win over some Freedom Caucus members, the parties to the pact refused to budge without a green light from their peers, despite receiving one concession after another.  Politico writes a great story about the doomed AHCA health care bill here.
