White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer blasts media for reporting truth about lack of inauguration audience.
In his first appearance as White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer made a statement to the press:
“This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period,” Spicer said, contradicting all available data.”
Aerial photos have indicated that former president Barack Obama’s first inauguration attracted a much larger crowd. Nielsen ratings show that Obama also had a bigger television audience.
Spicer went on to further lecture the media about what they should be covering. Read more from CNN Money here.
It seems the new White House shall continue its war with the press. Now it’s directing the press what it should cover. If it’s not satisfied with the coverage, Sean Spicer is sent out to attack the media and no questions are allowed from the press. Is this really freedom of the press under the Constitution?
President Trump’s team plagiarizes, bakes and eats a Obama presidential cake!
At Inaugural Balls Trump Talks ‘Enemies,’ Eats Plagiarized Cake
But there was still time for one more controversy. Pastry chef Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes suggested on Twitter that someone copied the cake he made for the Commander-in-Chief Ball in 2013 without his permission. Read more from the New Yorker here.
Donald Trump has many ties to Russia, extensive business ties!
“The Trump-Russia links beneath the surface are even more extensive,” Max Boot wrote in the Los Angeles Times. “Trump has sought and received funding from Russian investors for his business ventures, especially after most American banks stopped lending to him following his multiple bankruptcies.”
What’s more, three of Trump’s top advisors all have extensive financial and business ties to Russian financiers, wrote Boot, the former editor of the Op Ed page of the Wall Street Journal and now a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. Read more from the Time investigative report here.
This Time report explains Trump’s Russia business connections. How the president-elect could say he has no ties to Russia is a blatant lie! Read the report and feel free to comment below.
Trump’s repeated claim that he won in a ‘landslide’ victory doesn’t make it so!
“Landslide” is perhaps a bit in the eye of the beholder. But by any objective measure, Trump did not win one, let alone a “blowout.” Trump will be a minority president who lost the popular vote and only won the electoral college through narrow victories in three states. On top of that, his margin of victory, even in the electoral college, is so low that he ranks 46th out of 58 elections.
“The use of ‘landslide’ suggest a certain insecurity in the Trump camp,” Pitney said. (Pitney also ranked the losers in the electoral college. Clinton earned eighth place.). Read more from the Washington Post here.

Trump’s fake Bruce Springsteen band cancels inauguration performance citing “respect and gratitude” to Springsteen!
If the B-Street Band pledge allegiance to anyone, it’s Springsteen, who has repeatedly voiced his anger and disgust at the president-elect. (Forte half-jokingly said of the B-Street Band last week, “I don’t even know if they have any politics.”) Out of respect for their musical inspiration, they’ve decided to pull out of this week’s event. Read the story on the band’s decision from Rolling Stone here.
Congratulations to the B-Street Band for having the courage to cancel and showing respect to not only Bruce Springsteen but also several million Americans who feelTrump was elected with the help of Russian meddling and is an illegitimate president! Please add your comments below.
Plagiarist and book author Monica Crowley will not take job in the upcoming Trump administration.
Ms. Crowley stated:
“After much reflection I have decided to remain in New York to pursue other opportunities and will not be taking a position in the incoming administration. I greatly appreciate being asked to be part of President-elect Trump’s team and I will continue to enthusiastically support him and his agenda for American renewal.”

At least one known liar who has been identified as plagiarist will not be joining the new administration. The president-elect continued to stand by Ms. Crowley in light of the plagiarism discovery although Ms. Crowley chose to remove herself from consideration. What is your opinion? Trump reiterates at first January press conference that no one cares about his tax returns, despite Pew Research Poll says otherwise.
Trump stated at January 11, 2017 press conference:
“The only one that cares about my tax returns are the reporters. … You learn very little to a tax return.”
Trump is wrong on both counts. A Pew Research Center poll conducted January 4 to 9 found that 60 percent of Americans believed Trump has a responsibility to release his tax returns.
Meanwhile, tax experts say that tax returns provide insight about a person’s finances in several key areas.
First, the tax return reveals a person’s annual income. A person’s net worth is not disclosed, but voters would gain an understanding of a person’s cash flow. Second, voters would understand the sources of a person’s income, such as how much comes from certain businesses, speeches, dividends, capital gains and so forth.
Third, a tax return would disclose how much a person gives to charity. Mitt Romney gave almost $2.3 million to charity in 2011, while Bill and Hillary Clinton gave $3 million to charity in 2014. We know these figures because of information in their tax returns.
